The Darobas terroir has proved to be an appropriate setting for this variety and the Syrah wine of Darobas has a definite aristocratic character. The medium-bodied wine with the colour of cherries and garnets is crisp and harmonious. The fine and delicate fragrances of blackberry, morello cherry and red currant, followed by a resinous and oaken tang are consistently expressed in the olfactory and gustatory taste of the wine. Black pepper, a descreet oaken note and well-balanced tannins dominate in the lively and notable finale.
